Police appeal over missing man

Police and the friends and family of a Romanian national now living in Ballymena who was last seen on Friday morning, July 4, are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Lucian Sahlean, who has been living in Clarence Street, told friends he was going to a local shop and hasn’t been seen since.

A police spokesperson says that despite enquiries made to his native Romania, as well as amongst the local migrant worker community, there has been no sign of the 20-year-old.

Mr Shalean is desribed as six feet two inches tall, of slim build, with brown eyes and short brown hair. When last seen, he was wearing white jeans and a military style jacket.

Anyone who has any information on Mr Shalean’s whereabouts, or who may recognise his description, is asked to contact police at Ballymena on the non-emergency number 101.
