Police appeal: Skeoge bin bomb

Detectives investigating an explosion in a waste bin at Skeoge Road on Tuesday night have renewed their appeal for information.

The explosion was reported shortly before midnight on Tuesday and in an examination of the scene by Ammunition Technical Officers (ATO) on Wednesday, the remnants of a bomb were found. The device had the capability of killing or injuring anyone in close proximity to the bin.

Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the explosion, or anyone who saw suspicious activity close to the waste bin in the preceding 24 hours.
