Police assist at Strabane fire

Police were called out to assist Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service after a report of a fire at premises at the Ballycolman Avenue area of Strabane on Monday afternoon, June 18.

Shortly after 4.30pm, it was reported that a vacant building was on fire.

The building subsequently collapsed. There were no reports of any injuries.

Police would advise the local community to avoid the area as the building is in a dangerous condition.

Enquiries are continuing as to determine the cause of the fire and anyone with any information is asked to contact police in Strabane.
