Police call after attempted agravated burglary

Detectives in the borough are appealing for information from the public on what is believed to be an attempted aggravated burglary in the Henry Street Mews area of Ballymoney.

The alleged incident happened during the early hours of Tuesday, February 25 morning.

The occupant of a house in the area reported to officers that three men had broken his front windows and front door and were trying to enter.

The occupant then challenged the men and, following a physical altercation between him and one of them, all three ran away from the house.

There was a significant amount of blood at the crime scene and police believe that one of the suspected intruders may have sustained a deep cut during the altercation.
