Police call for information on Laura Marshall's social media activity

Police have issued an appeal for more information about the social media activity of murdered Lurgan girl Laura Marshall.

Laura, 31, was found dead in her apartment in Victoria Street on Sunday night.

The PSNI are treating her death as murder.

A 36-year-old man is being questioned by police.

On the PSNI Craigavon Facebook, police said: “As you may be aware by now, we have launched a murder enquiry into the death of Laura Marshall who’s body was tragically found on Sunday evening at her home on Victoria Street, Lurgan.

“Whilst we are still at the early stages, we have been given an extra 36 hours to question the male who was arrested for the murder.

“Our thoughts are very much with Laura’s family now as they grieve and search for answers as to what happened to Laura.

“To find these answers, we need your help. If you saw or spoke to Laura between Friday 1st April and Sunday 3rd April we would really like to hear from you.

“If you are aware of any activity on social media by her; whether it be Facebook, Snapchat, Whatsapp etc, please get in touch. Equally, if you know of anyone who is aware of any if the above, please get them to get in touch, or ring us yourselves.

“Call 101 and add to speak to our detectives in the incident room in Portadown. Any bit of information, no matter how small, could be vital.

“Lurgan has a record of pulling together during times like these, and we are confident you will do it again.”
