Police car damaged by bottle

POLICE have appealed for help after a patrol car was damaged during a patrol in the north Lurgan area.

Neighbourhood police - a sergeant and two constables - were carrying out a routine patrol in the Levin Road area around 6pm last Wednesday, April 21.

A male threw a plastic bottle at the Mitsubishi Shogun causing, what police said, was a minor dent to the bodywork.

It's understood a crowd of youths also surrounded the car following the incident.

Chief Inspector Jason Murphy said: "There were a number of people in the area at the time and we are appealing for anyone who can help us track down the individual to contact us."
