Police come under petrol bomb attack

A number of petrol bombs have been thrown at police vehicles in Dunmurry during an incident on Saturday night.

Police said they attended a disturbance on the Stewartstown Road close to the Bell Steel Road at about 9.20pm.

A number of petrol bombs were thrown by youths at police vehicles and onto the main road in separate incidents.

Police said a group of 30 youths were dispersed quickly and there were no reports of injuries.

Two youths were arrested following the trouble.

Police said a 15-year-old boy had since been charged with riotous behaviour and will appear at Lisburn youth court on 18 March.

A 14-year-old boy who was also arrested has been released pending reports.
