At last Thursday night's meeting of the District Policing Partnership, Mr. Henderson reported: "I am pleased to say that there has been a 7.6% reduction in overall crime and 17.3% reduction in violent crime.
"These figures reflect the hard work and commitment displayed by officers under my command and the help and support provided by the public.

"Thankfully, rural burglaries and thefts have decreased in the last quarter. We have been working with officers from H District and neighbouring Districts who are experiencing a similar rural theft issue.
"Police have discussed with private companies and the rural community the options of using machinery tagging and tracker systems."
At the meeting Commander Henderson also revealed figures that show confidence in policing in H District is higher than the Northern Ireland average.
