Police concern over Cushendall 'intimidation'

POLICE are concerned attempts are being made to 'intimidate' residents in Cushendall in the midst of continuous problems with speeding in the High Street area of the town.

The PSNI said bottles have been thrown at property and shouting directed at local people.

Police were conctacted around 12.30am on Saturday.

Inspector Bryan Hume said: “We have had continual problems with cars speeding up and down High Street. We have put operations in place but it seems to be going on and now people in High Street have reported being intimidated by youths.

“We are very concerned about this but would appeal for people to continue to help us,” said Inspector Hume.
