Police ‘concerned about driving status’
A three month ban was imposed on a 29-year-old woman last Friday at Craigavon Magistrates Court for driving without insurance on January 7 this year.
Caoime Mary McCann, Drumellan Court, Craigavon, was also fined £300.
For not having a driving licence she was fined £75.
The court heard that police parked in an unmarked vehicle saw the defendant drive past. They recognised her and were concerned about her driving status.
They followed her into Edward Street in Lurgan and it transpired the car belonged to her brother-in-law. She was not covered to drive the car.
