Police end search for missing Polish fisherman

Police have ended their search operation for Jaroslaw Andrykiewicz, the 38-year-old man believed to have been swept off the rocks and into the sea at Ramore Head, Portrush on Saturday 14 September.

Mr Andrykiewicz is a Polish national who has been living in the Moy area of Dungannon.

Coleraine police have been in close contact with family members of Mr Andrykiewicz since he was reported missing, with several travelling to Northern Ireland from his native Poland.

Chair of Coleraine Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP), Councillor Sam Cole has expressed his deepest sympathies to the family stating, “On behalf of Coleraine PCSP I would like to extend my heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of Jaroslaw Andrykiewicz

“This is a very unfortunate and tragic event which has caused immense distress to this young man’s family.”
