Police hunt gang

At around 6pm, three men entered a house in the Ballyfore area and tied up and threatened two female occupants, one aged 64 and the other in her 20s.

A 25-year-old man who was also in the house was told to go to his work - a scrap metal business in Mallusk - and remove a substantial sum of money and take it to Glengormley. The robbers remained in the house with the two women while he did so.

No-one was hurt in the incident, but all three victims were left badly shaken by their ordeal.

Detectives investigating the robbery have appealed for anyone with information to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
