Police hunt '˜graverobbers' after items stolen in Cookstown cemetery

Police in Cookstown are appealing for information after receiving reports that a number of items have been stolen from a grave in a Cookstown cemetery.

It is thought the theft took place in Cemetery Road area of Cookstown sometime over the past week.

Sgt. Katie Campbell said: “It is thought the items were taken sometime between Sunday, January 24 and the following Saturday (January 30).

“Anyone with information is asked to ring Police on 101, reference number 547 30/01/16.

“Alternatively information about crime can be passed via the independent Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.”
