Police investigate after two parked cars ‘scored’ in Magherafelt costing owners £100s

Police are appealing for information after two vehicles parked in the Queens Avenue area of Magherafelt were scored along the length of each car.

The incident, which is being treated as a case of criminal damage, is understood to have caused damage costing several hundreds of pounds to repair.

It is believed this damage was caused sometime between midnight and 8am on Sunday, 5 July.

Constable Denver Kincaid said: “I would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact Police at Magherafelt on the non-emergency number 101.

“Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
