Police investigate possible link between two Larne burglaries

DETECTIVES in Larne are investigating two burglaries that took place at residential premises in the town on the same date.

Sometime between 2pm and 4pm on Friday, October 5, it was reported that a house in the Fleet Street area was ransacked. It is also believed that criminal damage was caused to the walls inside the property during the incident.

Meanwhile, another house in the Laharna Avenue area was unlawfully entered and ransacked sometime between 11am and 5pm. At this stage it is not unclear if anything was taken during the two incidents.

Police are looking into a possible a link between the two burglaries, and anyone who has any information regarding either incident or saw anything suspicious in the Fleet Street or Laharna Avenue areas at the times of the incidents are asked to contact Larne CID on 0845 600 8000. Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
