Police issue warning

POLICE have reminded members of the public to be on the lookout for suspicious vehicles, particularly in rural areas.

A PSNI spokesperson said, “As standard good practice, householders will recognise that it’s important to keep their homes and outbuildings properly secured at all times.

“Would-be burglars need only the slightest encouragement to gain access to properties, so don’t make it easy for them. Remember the following simple rule: close it, lock it, check it.

“Get to know your Neighbourhood Police Officers and don’t feel that you are wasting police time by reporting strangers or unknown vehicles in your area that you are suspicious about.”
