Police make arrest in dog abuse probe
A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection to the alleged physical abuse of a dog which was captured on footage and subsequently uploaded online.
Police carried out the arrest following an alleged report of animal cruelty which was made yesterday (Tuesday).
A police spokesman said, “The man was arrested in the Banbridge area on Tuesday afternoon (January 7). He is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
“The dog will be examined by a vet but appears to be in good health.”
