Police: Man assaulted by two males and three females in Portrush

At approximately 1.50am, an altercation occurred near a takeaway restaurant, resulting in a window being shattered. It is believed that the man was assaulted by three males and two females.

He has been taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries. His condition is currently described as critical but stable.

Detective Constable John Boyd said: “I would appeal to anyone who knows anything about this incident to contact CID at Coleraine Police Station on the non emergency number 101. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
