Police: Man assaulted by two males and three females in Portrush

Detectives are appealing for information following the assault of a 31-year-old man in the Dunluce Avenue area of Portrush in the early hours of Thursday.

At approximately 1.50am, an altercation occurred near a takeaway restaurant, resulting in a window being shattered. It is believed that the man was assaulted by three males and two females.

He has been taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries. His condition is currently described as critical but stable.
