Police name Castlewellan road crash victim
The accident happened in Newcastle Road in Castlewellan in the early hours of Friday. No other vehicles were involved.
Police have named the road victim as 28-year-old Daryl Shaw from the Castlewellan area.

Hide AdA spokesman appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident, which happened at around 1.45am, to come forward.
Mr Shaw is the second man in his twenties to die on Ulster’s road in less than 24 hours.
On Thursday morning, 20-year-old Ashley James died following a collision between a car and plant machinery outside Portadown.
Mr James, from the Clonmore Road in Dungannon, was driving his red Peugeot 207 car on the Derryanvil Road when the collision took place shortly before 10am.
Many of his friends paid emotional tributes to “an amazing lad” on social media.
Police said the driver of the plant machinery was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
