* POLICE have arrested a 19-year-old male on suspicion of possession of Class B drugs.

The arrest took place on Ballybogey Road during the early hours of December 30th.

He was released on police bail to return on January 15.

* POLICE have arrested a 49-year-old male following an incident in Dunloy on December 31st. The man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.

The man has been interviewed and released following a report to the Public Prosecution Service.

* POLICE are appealing for information following the report of a burglary at commercial premises on Ballybrakes Road.

It is believed the building suppliers, which was closed over the Christmas break, was broken into sometime between Friday, December 21 and January 2.

Entry was forced by the rear of the building an a significant number of Bosch power tools were taken.

Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity at the time or from anyone who has been approached over the sale of such items.

*POLICE are investigating following the report of the theft of several hundred gallons of white diesel from a locked shed at Glenstall Road.

It is believed the incident took place sometime between 5.30pm on January 3 and 7.30am on January 4.

Due to the quantity of diesel police believe a tank and suitable vehicle were used during the theft.

*POLICE arrested a 34-year-old male on suspicion of criminal damage and disorderly behaviour following an incident at Cloughmills Health Centre on January 4.

The man has been charged and is due to appear at Coleraine Magistrates Court on January 30.

* POLICE are investigating following the report of damage caused to a green Land Rover parked on Mounthill Ave, Cloughmills sometime between Christmas Day and January 4.

The ‘significant scrape’ caused to the vehicle is believed to have been malicious.
