Police news in Moyle

Police received a report on Monday 28 July that a roll of electrical cable was stolen from a worksite at the Towpath off Ann Street, Ballycastle. The cable was subsequently recovered a short distance away.

Police are investigating the theft of a grill from a VW Bora car that was parked outside Dalriada Hospital, Ballycastle. The suspected theft happened on Wednesday 30 July and police are appealing for information.

Police arrested a man on suspicion of a series of public order offences following an incident at the Dalriada Hospital, Ballycastle on Thursday 31 July. Police enquiries into the matter are ongoing.

Police arrested a man on suspicion of disorderly behaviour outside licensed premises in the Diamond, Ballycastle on Sunday 03 August. Police enquiries are ongoing.

Police are investigating after a business property was broken into at Fairhill Street, Ballycastle and several cars damaged. Police enquiries into the incident which happened on Sunday 03 August are ongoing.

Police are appealing for information following the report of graffiti being spray painted on boarding on a building in the Quay Road area of Ballycastle by a male at approximately 7.45pm on Wednesday, 30 July.

The male is described as being approximately 40 years old, wearing a blue hoody, 5’10”/6’ tall with ginger/strawberry blond facial hair. He was carrying a red and black rucksack. It is believed he spoke with a Belfast accent. Police would ask anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information.
