Police Ombudsman probe after Lurgan incident

The Police Ombudsman's office is appealing for witnesses after two men were arrested in Lurgan earlier this month.

The pair were arrested during an altercation in north Lurgan on July 2.

It is believed a large crowd were in the area at the time.

The Police Ombudsman’s Office is appealing appealed for witnesses to the incident which happened in the Allenhill Park/Lake Street area.

On Saturday 2nd July between 6.30pm and 7.30pm police were on patrol in the area when an altercation occurred which resulted in police arresting two men for disorderly behaviour.

A spokesman for the Office said: “We believe there was a large crowd in the area at the time and believe a number of people may have witnessed the incident. We would like to speak to anyone who saw what happened to call us on our confidential Witness Appeal Line on 0800 032 7880.”
