Police on hunt for stolen tractor

Police in Cookstown are investigating the reported theft of a red tractor and other farm implements, believed to have been taken at some point over the weekend.

Speaking about the incident, Insp. Daniel Walsh said: “The tractor is understood to have been taken from the Battery Road area of Cookstown, sometime between 6.30pm on Friday, January 2, and 8.30am on Monday, January 5.

“The red Massey Ferguson 398 tractor, which had a front loader, was taken along with a silage grab, cattle crush and other tools. “Anyone who can help Police with their enquiries is asked to call the 101 number, quoting reference number 1955115. Alternatively information about crime can be passed via the independent Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.”
