Police probe burglaries

Sometime between Tuesday, August 21 and 7.30am the following day, a house was entered in the Island Road area of Ballycarry. A number of cupboards were opened inside the property and it is believed that jewellery was taken from the house.

Meanwhile, between 8am and 12.50pm on Friday, August 24, it was reported that a house had been entered in the Woodlands, Redhall area at the rear of the premises and it is believed that a quantity of jewellery was taken during the incident.

At this stage, police are linking both incidents and enquiries are ongoing.
