Police probe rash of burglaries in Oakbridge Park

Burglars stole significant sums of cash in a rash of burglaries in the Oakbridge Park area of Londonderry in the early hours of this morning.

Detective Constable Parker, who is handling the investigation, said: “It was reported that between the hours of 3.00am and 5.45am a number of houses were burgled in the Oakbridge Park area of Londonderry. Significant sums of cash were taken and a vehicle was taken from one of the properties. This vehicle was later found alight in Glendale Park.

“We are appealing to anyone that may have any information regarding these incidents or to anyone that may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the Oakbridge area of Londonderry to contact Strand Road Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 149 on 03/11/16. Or, alternatively if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
