Police probe robbery at Queen Street shop

A sum in cash and a quantity of cigarettes have been stolen during a robbery in Ballymoney.

The incident happened at a shop in Queen Street where a man brandishing a knife entered the premises around 10:00 pm on Wednesday February 24.

The man, who used a scarf to conceal his identity, threatened staff and demanded money and cigarettes which he snatched before making off in the direction of the town.

Anyone who noticed the culprit in the area, prior to the robbery, or afterwards as he made good his escape is asked to contact the police at Ballymoney.
