Police probe ‘suspicious approach’ to boy in Toome area

Police are investigating a report of a suspicious approach being made to a teenage boy in the Toome area.

It is understood the boy ran off after a man in a dark grey car, possibly a Mercedes or an Audi, pulled alongside him while he was walking.

The incident happened around 6pm on September 23 but police enquiries are continuing.

Constable Mark Curlett said: “We would like to hear from anyone who noticed anything suspicious in and around the area at this time, particularly a car matching this description or man, described as being stocky, with glasses, aged 40 to 60-years-old and with white/grey hair.
