Police question children over school arson attack

Police have confirmed they have questioned three children in relation to an arson attack on a school in the city.

A PSNI spokesman said officers investigating the arson attack on Monday night, April 4, on the Holy Family Primary School at Central Drive had interviewed three young people in connection with the incident.

Neighbourhood Inspector Jonathan Hunter said: “Two 10-year-old boys and an 11-year-old girl voluntarily attended Strand Road Police Station.

“They were interviewed and subsequently released pending a report to the Youth Diversion Officer.”
