Police renew their appeal for witnesses
POLICE returned to the scene of a road traffic collision involving a refuse lorry which claimed the life of a man near Ballymena a week ago.
Eric Weir, who was aged 49 and from the Ballyclare area, was killed after the vehicle left Craigadoo Road at approximately 7.55am on Monday, March 5.
Police were in the area on Monday morning to stop traffic and seek information from anyone who may have been on the road at the time of the collision.
Anyone who was in the area between 7.30am and 8.15am on March 5 and who has any information in relation to this incident is asked to contact police in Ballymena on 0845 600 8000.
