Police round-up from Moyle and Ballycastle

Police are investigating a report of damage caused to a business premises on the Torr Road, Ballycastle, reported to police on Monday, 1th January.

The damage is thought to have happened over the course of the previous weekend. A battery, valued at over £100 is also thought to have been taken from the front of the premises during the incident. Police enquiries are continuing.

Moyle police arrested and questioned a 58-year-old woman on suspicion of possessing and tendering counterfeit currency.

The woman was arrested on Wednesday, 15th January in the Kilnadore Park area and was later released on police bail.

Police are investigating the suspected theft of a Husqvarna chainsaw from the rear of a property along Atlantic Road, Ballycastle.

The chainsaw is thought to have been taken around lunchtime on Friday, 17th January. Enquiries are continuing.

Police seized a vehicle on Sunday, 19th January in the Market Street area of Ballycastle. The vehicle was seized after the insurance policy was found to be invalid.
