Thehe Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) removed the “illegally held gaming machines” from the premises after checks showed the takeaway was not permitted to have them.

PSNI said: “They were located in a food outlet which is not permitted under the Betting, Gaming , Lotteries and Amusements (NI) Order 1985. If you own or manage a taxi office, takeaway food outlet or any other unlicensed premises you can not site any gaming machines on your premises.

“Neighbourhood Police will be visiting other premises in the near future and dealing robustly with any breaches.”
