Police seize illegal fireworks

The seizure was made by members of the Antrim Neighbourhood Policing Team at Nutt’s Corner market.

Detailing the incident, a PSNI spokesperson said: “Antrim NPT carried out an operation at Nutt’s Corner Market this morning aimed at the illegal supply of fireworks. A quantity of illegal fireworks was seized and one person has been made amenable.

“These fireworks and the sale of them present a real danger to the public and we would urge anyone offered such items to contact us. If you have any information regarding the sale or supply of fireworks you can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on telephone number 0800 555 111.”
