Police seize significant amount of fireworks

A significant number of fireworks were seized by police in Newtownabbey on Saturday, October 17.

The seizure came after officers conducted a search of a house in the Newtownabbey area.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “This has disrupted the illegal sale of what is potentially a very dangerous item in the hands of young people or those with more sinister intentions.”

Police are appealing for information about the illegal sale of fireworks.

The public have been urged to pass on any information regarding the illegal sale of fireworks to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
