Pennie Paula Termonia (23), of no fixed abode, was fined 150 and banned from driving for 12 months after admitting a charge of driving with excess alcohol consumed.

She was unsteady on her feet and bumped the door off another vehicle.

Police observed the defendant’s reversing lights come on and her vehicle reversed a short distance before officers stopped her from moving off.

Barrister Michael Smith said that due to the alertness of officers “she was prevented from driving any distance”.

“It was only a short reversing manoeuvre,” added Mr Smith.
