Police thanks for help during missing child search

Police have thanked those from the local community who assisted them following a report of a missing child in Ballycarry yesterday (Wednesday).

A post on the PSNI Larne Facebook page read: “Following the report of a missing child in Ballycarry on September 7 2016, a coordinated search took place involving police, fire service and the local community rescue service.

“In light of the concerns for the young child’s welfare, extensive efforts were made to locate him and the local community in Ballycarry gave great assistance to the services and supported the family during the search.

“This help was very much appreciated and the child was found safe and well.”
