Police urge householders to be cautious with callers at home

Police would always advise that householders be careful when dealing with unsolicited callers of any description particularly those asking for money.

Fraudsters often make their approach by using a series of unsolicited telephone calls. The trickster thieves will claim to be from a company, organisation, government department or service provider and will offer goods or services which the would-be thieves then encourage the homeowner to purchase.

Householders are reminded not to permit anyone inside the home without being 100% sure of who they are. Always check the ID of any unknown caller.
