Police warn drivers to show 'consideration' to Cookstown residents

Police were out and about in Cookstown late last night reminding drivers to show "consideration" to local residents.

The Local Neighbourhood Officers were on patrol in the Fairhill area of the town where householders have been plagued by anti-social behaviour from motorists and patrons coming from entertainment venues.The PSNI clamped down over Christmas on the antics of 'boy racers' causing annoyance in the area after complaints by residents and local politicians."We also reminded drivers that we have the power to seize vehicles that cause alarm, distress or are a nuisance," said a police spokesperson.
