People who are disqualified from driving are serving a sentence as a result of other serious motoring and criminal offences.

Inspector Paul McCracken said: “Because they are disqualified, these drivers are also uninsured. We are asking for assistance from the public who can provide police with information about disqualified drivers.

“If you know someone is driving while disqualified, please let us know for the safety of everyone on our roads. Please report anyone you believe to be driving without a license or insurance by calling the non-emergency 101 number.

Inspector McCracken ended: “Alternatively, if you do not want to speak to police, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. You do not have to give your name.”
