POLICE in Lisburn are investigating a link between the serious assault of a man and the damage to two cars in the Glenmore Walk area in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

At approximately 1.40am two masked men forced their way into a property and assaulted the occupant with an iron bar. A 35-year-old man was taken to hospital a short time later to be treated for a suspected broken arm.
