Politician recommends a visit to exhibition

ROY Beggs MLA has recommended that local people should view the free Anne Frank (+You ) exhibition currently on show at the borough's headquarters at Mossley Mill.

Speaking after a reception by the Northern Ireland Friends of Israel held at the opening of the exhibitionat the Mill, Mr Beggs said: “The exhibition inspired by the Anne Frank diary has themes on identity, prejudice and racism, conflict and peace, moral responsibility and freedom and democracy, and I am sure that we all could learn something valuable from the exhibition, no matter what age we are.

“It is relevant to Northern Ireland given our experience and I would encourage individuals and indeed schools/groups to view the exhibition.
