Rev. Coulter said: “I am just delighted that the Giant’s Causeway is to receive a long-awaited overhaul, which will only serve to enhance its world class reputation.

“It is a terrible shame that this development has been delayed for so long, when it is one of Northern Ireland ’s premier tourist attractions. However, at long last we are to see progress made, and that is something to be welcomed.

Mr. Allister said: "I greatly welcome the fact that after many wasted years we are now seeing signs of tangible progress towards securing a first class public visitor centre facility at the marvellous Causeway site.”
