2k WELB pupilswere suspended
Over two thousand pupils were suspended across the Western Education and Library Board (WELB) over the past three academic years.
The number of suspensions rose from 746 in 2010/11 to 753 in 2011/12 before dipping to 630 in 2012/13.
The total number of pupil suspensions was 2,129.
The number of expulsions wasn’t broken down by board area although there were 81 expulsions across Northern Ireland.
