Speaking after the well attended event, Ms Boyle, an Associate Member of Corrymeela, said: “I am delighted that this festival of talks, theology, music, arts, food and dancing was part funded by the the Causeway Coast and Glens Council. This is part of Corrymeela’s 50 years celebration of peace building and reconciliation work.

“The partnership working of the festival builds on the relationship with CC&G Council in whose area the Centre now resides.”

Ms Boyle added: “I commend the Causeway Museum Service for their ongoing joint work with Corrymeela and the University of Ulster on their new project ‘Contact, Culture and Conflict around the Causeway’ connecting community groups with the rich heritage in the area - to create new understandings of our complex past to help build a more peaceful present and future.

“Recent events over the weekend in Dungiven and Belfast show that the need for this work continues”.
