Centrepoint still hitting the high notes after 62 years

And the independent mixed voice choir is planning to delight its followers and friends with a concert on Saturday, October 27, at 7.30pm in Craigavon Civic Centre.

The members are drawn from Lurgan, Portadown, Belfast, Banbridge and Hillsborough.

Their guests for the evening are Margaret Keys, Laganvale Brass Band and the Livingstone-Guthrie duo.

Margaret Keys is an Irish classical crossover soprano from Derry who signed a record deal with Universal Records. She has a First Class honours Degree in Music Education and a Masters degree in Singing and Performance from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.
Margaret has won numerous awards and she was also the winner of the BBC Fame Academy Award. She has had the opportunity to work and train alongside the stars, directors and producers of several Broadway productions. She has performed internationally in New York, San Francisco and New Zealand.

Laganvale Band was formed in Belfast in 1908 and has a fine record through the years of performance in local and national brass band contests, They were NIBA Champions in 2011.

The Livingstone-Guthrie duo are from the Belfast Area and will bring a touch of their own brand of humour to the proceedings.

Under the direction of their Musical Director Mr Michael Harris Counterpoint will be performing some favourite songs and some new works to complete a great evening of music.
