A letter sent to the Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council’s Chief Executive Roger Wilson shows the Department, having received representation from elected representatives, is seeking to change parking and waiting restrictions at Obins Street in the town.
The proposals, which the letter notes are subject to comment and approval from the PSNI, will see the existing legislation that limits waiting to one-hour and, no return within one hour from 8.30am to 6.15pm Monday – Saturday, revoked.
This will apply to Park Road (north-west side) from a point 27 metres north-east of its junction with Obins Street for a distance of 18 metres in a north-easterly direction.
New restrictions prohibiting waiting at any time will be indicated by double yellow lines at both Park Road (north-west side) from a point 15 metres north-east of its junction with Obins Street for a distance of 30 metres in a north-easterly direction.
This restriction will also be introduced at Obins Street (south-east side) from its junction with Park Road for a distance of 30 metres in a north-westerly direction).
