Changes proposed for Obins Street parking

Plans to change the parking and waiting restrictions on a Portadown street have been proposed by the Department for Infrastructure.

A letter sent to the Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council’s Chief Executive Roger Wilson shows the Department, having received representation from elected representatives, is seeking to change parking and waiting restrictions at Obins Street in the town.

The proposals, which the letter notes are subject to comment and approval from the PSNI, will see the existing legislation that limits waiting to one-hour and, no return within one hour from 8.30am to 6.15pm Monday – Saturday, revoked.
