Council focuses on communities

Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council has appointed Mrs Louise Moore as its new Head of Communities, as the Council reshapes its team to place communities at the heart of decision making.

Through the Lisburn Castlereagh Community Plan, communities will have a real say in how the Council and partner organisations shape and deliver better services for everyone who lives, works or visits the area.

Alderman James Tinsley, Chairman of the council’s Leisure & Community Development Committee, said: “I am pleased to welcome Louise to this new position within the council as the first Head of Communities for Lisburn Castlereagh. Communities are central to what we do as a council and Louise has over 13 years’ experience in local government, giving her a strong platform on which to build our new approach to community based services.”
