The application was lodged by the Education Authority. It seeks to add two double modular classroom units, with toilets, on an existing shale pitch at the school’s Lurgan Road site in Portadown

If the application proves successful, additional car parking spaces will be located on an existing grass area within the site.

The application documents note this will increase the floor space of the site by 374m2.

At present, 102 vehicles attend the site on an average day. If this work is approved it is anticipated a further 27 vehicles will attend the site.

This will also lead to an increase in the number of people attending the school.

According to the application document, 406 people attend the premises daily. If this application is approved, a further 77 people are expected to attend the site bringing the total number of people visiting the site on a daily basis to 483.

The application was submitted on Wednesday, March 10, and validated on Tuesday, April 20. It will be advertised until Friday, May 28.
