Facility a first for Craigavon area

The Changing Places room is a first for the Craigavon area. The need for this was one of the key issues that came from consultation between the Council and local residents and users. Craigavon Borough Council has responded to the issues and is delighted that the new facility is now fully functional.

Craigavon Borough Council invested £3 million in the creation of the new Brownlow Community Hub which is situated in the heart of Craigavon and caters for all the community including special needs groups. Facilities include Wi-Fi enabled, large and small meeting rooms, hot desking facilities, a large hall and Child Care Space.

The bright, modern centre offers a wide range of new and exciting activities and classes for everyone to enjoy both young and old. Activities in the hub include; a variety of dance classes, martial arts classes, yoga, Pilates, drama, Indoor Bowls, slimming classes, music lessons, keep-fit classes, tea dances and prayer groups.

Grace O’Neill, Manager of the Hub comments; “Brownlow Community Hub truly is the centre of the local area and an ‘all-rounder’ in terms of facilities on offer. We’re delighted the Hub’s Changing Places facility has been fully registered and approved for use. It’s a vital part of the facility, providing a much needed service to meet the needs of the entire community.”
