Finance Minister to meet business representatives

FINANCE Minister Sammy Wilson will face questions about car parking charges and rates at a meeting to be chaired by David Simpson MP.

Business representatives have been invited to come along, as has Jo-Anne Dobson MLA of the Ulster Unionist Party.

“I am delighted that the Finance Minister has agreed to come along to visit Banbridge to meet with representatives of the local business community from Banbridge, Lurgan and Portadown to discuss issues such as car parking charges and rates,” said Mr Simpson.

“This is something that I have been seeking, subject to the Minister’s diary and I am delighted that he is able to come along.

“I have already been in touch with representatives of the three local Chambers Trade in Banbridge, Lurgan and Portadown in relation to this event that I will be pleased to chair in Banbridge Old Town Hall on September 26.

“I have also been in contact with Jo-Anne Dobson MLA to invite her along given her public involvement in both issues and her public call for the Finance Minister to come to Banbridge.”
