Finlay hits out over window installation

Ballymoney DUP Councillor John Finlay has raised the alleged failure of the Housing Executive to install double glazed windows in a number of properties in, Ballymoney.

Cllr Finlay spoke about the matter at a meeting of the Housing Council stating that residents’ were being left out in the cold, especially throughout the winter cold spell experienced over the Christmas period.

Commenting Cllr Finlay said: “I have been contacted by a number of residents’ living in Housing Executive property who still have single glazed windows which are causing residents’ to lose valuable heat from their homes.

“Heat is not cheap nowadays and is costing residents’ a fortune because the Housing Executive refusal to install double glazed windows in places like Queens Park and other estates in Ballymoney council area

“I raised the issue at the Housing Council this morning in hope that the problem is resolved ensuring energy efficiency in the homes of tenants.”
